Boutique Spotlight: Off The Hook Hats

I started crocheting 6 years ago when I became a stay at home mom and had extra time on my hands.  I have created hats for family and friends and they are the ones who inspired me to open up a shop. - Jenni Potter

Mommy Must Haves: WubbaNub Pacifiers

I can't explain how awesome these are! These little pacifiers are attached to small plush suffed animals.   If the baby spits it out they can easily grab it and put back in their mouth by themselves. No more digging and looking for the paci! I especially loved this when traveling. When my son was really young, if the WubbaNub slipped out of his mouth, it stayed on his chest and he was able to move his head around to get the paci back in his mouth. No more crying, stopping the car, digging for the paci to keep him from crying. As he got older he was able to grab it and find it easy. My daughter really never took a pacifier, but she used hers for teething. Again- it great for the little ones to grab. I don't know how many people would come up to me and complain they wished they had one when their kids were little. The WubbaNub is made out of medical grade silicone (safe for latex allergy). The WubbaNub is in my opinion just plain genius (and adorbs!)
This is not a sponsored post so all opinions are my own. I just love to share great products!
Toodles,
Amy

Fun In The Snow: Frozen Marble Balloons

Are you looking for something fun and creative to do with the kiddos during this Polar Vortex? Here is something cool and fun to do. So simple and it is a great way to decorate your front lawn with! All you need is 1) balloons 2) food coloring.

Fill balloons with water, add some food coloring, cut off the ends of the balloon. Let it sit outside in the freezing cold and ta-da!  They look like big colorful marbles! Line your driveway, sidewalk, fence posts outside and the neighbors will take notice. Just make sure your littles don't try to chunk them at someone's head like my little dude would do.

I don't get to try this living in the south, as it is a freak of nature to get a flurry. Let me know if you get to do this and send pic! Bloggy@thebabyburp.com.

Toodles,
Amy

Nursery Decor: Art Collage

A great way to make a nursery look more custom is with different varieties of artwork- put together as a collage. A collage gives the nursery character, adds design to an empty space, and helps give proportion to a room. Whether it be framed art, mirrors, letters, or wall hanging sculptures, mixing and arranging these different pieces of art creates one big masterpiece of your own! Here are some of my favorites.
Which is your favorite? Send us pics of your nursery and we might feature it on a blogpost! Bloggy@thebabyburp.com

Monday Mommy Must-Haves

We are changing it up a bit on the blog and including mommy must-haves, DIY, along with our themes, product and boutique highlights and new seller products. On that note, this mommy must have is a biggie! Mommies need relaxation! Whether it be a massage, a work-out, a relaxing bubble bath, we need time to ourselves to unwind from the stresses of mommyhood. My relaxation biggie is a massage chair from Brookstone. This is the only thing that relaxes me on a daily basis. I have chronic back pain and tension headaches that have disappeared since I got the massage chair. When I feel good I have more energy and I'm in a better overall mood. I make it a priority now to take some time to relax and believe its a major mommy must-have! Not only is it good for your overall health- when you feel better and have more energy- it has a positive effect on the kiddos as well!
The model shown is the OSIM uStyle2 from Brookstone.
Please be sure to sign up to receive or blog by email and follow us on social media!

Boutique Highlight: Baake, LLC

BabySwingSling™ patent pending was thought up of one day while at the park on Mother's Day of all days. There weren't any traditional baby swings at this particular park for our little ones to enjoy. That got us thinking...How is it that there wasn't any kind of baby swing attachment that will convert a standard swing seat into a baby swing that infants and toddlers? Hence, the BabySwingSling™ was invented.

Many toddlers aren't quite ready for the standard swing seats and they've also outgrown the traditional baby swing. BabySwingSling™ is a portable swing seat attachment that converts a regular swing seat into a baby swing for infants and toddlers. Our portable swing attachments teaches your young one how to swing like a big kid by helping decrease the fear of falling.
