The Baby Burp: Organization- Grab and Go Toddler Snacks

     

This is a great way to be organized and have a handy healthy snack ready for that always hungry toddler! So simple and it only will take about 20-30 minutes of your time (depending how much you do). Next time you're at the grocery store grab some zip lock snack bags and keep in mind some healthy snacks you can put together! You'll save money from buying pre-packaged individual snacks and you'll thank me later. Here are some ideas for grab and go snacks to make for your toddler:

The Baby Burp: Play- 5 Things To Do With Baby This Spring

        

Spring is my favorite season of the year. It doesn't last that loing in the south before the heat of summer comes early and steals the beautiful weather. My littles enjoy the outdoors - so I'm making it my goal to soak in the beautiful weather while it lasts.  There are so many things to do with your baby, so get out and enjoy your time together.

1) PACK A PICNIC- Make a healthy lunch and lots of snacks and take it to the park or somewhere nice outside. It can even be in your back yard. Bring a big blanket and eat on the ground. 

2) GO TO THE FARMERS MARKET- This is a great time when lots of fruits and veggies are in season. Stroll around the Farmers Market and get lots of healthy organic food to take home. 

3) GO TO THE ZOO- Your littles will enjoy going to the zoo and seeing lots of animals. There is something about seeing other animals that will bring a smile to your little ones face. 

4) FLY A KITE- Make a kite and fly it at the park! Your littles will enjoy seeing something they made go up up up in the sky!

5) GO ON A BIKE RIDE- There are so many attachments and baby carts that can be added to your bike. Your little ones will enjoy feeling the breeze and looking around as your ride your bike!

The Baby Burp: Recall Alert- My Sweet Love Baby Doll

Wal-Mart is recalling My Sweet Love/My Sweet Baby Cuddle Care baby dolls exclusively at Walmart stores nationwide from August 2012 to March 2014. The circuit board in the chest of the doll can overheat, causing the surface of the doll to get hot, posing a burn hazard.

The doll comes in pink floral clothing and matching knit hat. “My Sweet Baby” is printed on the front of the clear plastic and cardboard packaging. The doll is identified by UPC 6-04576-16800-5 and a date code which begins with WM. The date code is printed on the stuffed article label sewn into the bottom of the doll.

Consumers should return the doll to any Walmart store for a full refund.

The Baby Burp: DIY Activity- The Water Blob

Now that the weather is warming up and the littles are wanting to go outside and play- we found this great activity we are going to have to try out at The Baby Burp HQ! It's cheap, easy, and will create fun memories for the babes.

1. What you need: heavy plastic sheeting (make sure at least 4 mm! The thin plastic sheeting will not work), Duct Tape, Water Hose.

2. Fold the plastic sheeting in half and use duct tape seal the other three corners. Leave a small hole to insert the water hose. 

3. Turn on the water and fill it up until you have a big water blob. Seal with duct tape! 

Your now ready to have a day filled with fun in the sun and the babes will have a blast. This is perfect if you have toddler aged children! Note: You can also add blue dye or glitter to the water to add color and sparkles.

Glow In The Dark Easter Egg Hunt

How cool is this? Just another fun activity to do with the kids this week! I know my kids have already had a few Easter egg hunts- but this one is different. Of course there is no candy to collect from the eggs {do they really need anymore candy?} but this is just for fun. Besides- what kid doesn't like glow sticks?

You can most likely find glow sticks at your local dollar store. Bend them to fit inside the plastic eggs and you are on your way to the coolest Easter egg hunt your kids will remember! Just hope you have some nice Spring evening weather for this fun activity! {go away cold front!}
