Misconceptions of a Mommypreneur

Just because I'm a WAHM doesn't mean my business is just a hobby. This is the biggest misconception of a Mompreneur. In fact I work harder and longer hours now than when I worked a 9-5 job. Work from home mothers just have to be more organized and work in between feedings, changing diapers, running errands, playing, cooking dinners, comforting the kids, reading, and not to mention the many cleaning chores. In fact, I'm writing this on my IPad while rocking my son who is what seems to be coming down with a cold. Sometimes we find ourselves juggling work and being a mommy at the same time. I also find myself up late at night doing many emails and planning while many are sleeping. For some it's a choice to stay at home and work because they have been career oriented all their life. For some it's a need to bring in some extra income. Whatever it may be, it is not a hobby just because you're not going into an office and working a 9-5 job. It is not a side job. It's a job in addition to being a mother. That's why we have come up with a day for Mompreneur's to be recognized for all their hard work, dedication and running on a few hours of sleep a night. Will you join me in supporting Mompreneur's on January 2?
You can read more about this special day on our blog page and gear up to promote this special day!
