The Baby Burp: Featured Product- The Kool Seat

The Kool Seat is another mommy invented product featured on The Baby Burp! Living in the hot south- I can truly relate to this product and think it is genius! Here is what Christy, owner and inventor of the Kool Seat had to say about her product in her own words: 

The Kool Seat was created out of my “mama bear instinct” to protect my baby from the hot car seat in the Vegas heat.  It was a hot June day. My son, Steven, had recently graduated from the infant car seat to the convertible car seat that stays in the car.  I worried that he would get burned with the hot buckles and also scared that he would get over heated.  They say that necessity is the mother of invention, and that is very true in this case.  I worked with my grandmother to create a prototype.  It made such a difference on our outings that several prototypes and a few tweaks later, the Kool Seat quickly became part of my essentials when leaving the house.  Steven became the coolest kid in town…literally. 

The Kool Seat is a unique product that combines everyday nontoxic ice packs in a nylon bag to effectively cool children’s car seats and metal buckles.  This effective solution eliminates the risk of unintentional burns caused by hot car seat buckles.   Parents with small children have their hands full in more ways than one so we designed the Kool Seat with an easy grab handle for “hands free” transport to make life just a little bit easier.  In addition, with a car seat that’s cool there’s no more arguing, crying, or temper tantrums about getting into a hot car seat.  Day trips out with a little one then becomes an opportunity for exploration and sharing, not a battle of wills.  Moms consistently tell us, “My kid loves their Kool Seat!”

I am a native Las Vegan and stay at home mom to two wonderful boys, Steven 16 and Matthew 13.  They are both good students, play competitive soccer, and enjoy all sports.  I have been married to my college sweetheart for nearly 19 years.  We enjoy ballroom dancing and taking long walks together.  My hobbies include cooking, photography and oil painting.
