The Baby Burp: Do You Have A Schedule?

Are you a mommy on a schedule? Do you have a daily or weekly routines? As crazy as my life is-trying to balance a business (blessed to work from home) and a husband who works shift work, my type A personality is living a type B personality lifestyle-  and it drives me crazy. Ideally -my life would be on a schedule. I'm a "routine" person and if my routine is thrown of course, I get lost. Please tell me I'm not the only one! This is a typical day in my life:

1) Get up with the kids. Change diapers and get juice for them.
2) Drink my coffee and read emails while the kids play/watch cartoons.
3) Eat breakfast/ clean up.
4) Work on Business ( blog, social media, brainstorming, connecting)
5) Laundry and light cleaning
6) Errands/ Play with kids.
7) Lunch
8) Light Cleaning
9) Try to get kids to take naps
10) Work on business while kids nap ( if they do) if not, it's quiet time and cartoons
11) Evening activity ( my sons soccer practice, park, bike ride, play outside)
12) Dinner
13) Clean Up
14) Kids Bath Time
15) Read Books
16) Kids nighttime
17) Work

Now when my husband has a day off we are out and about running errands, appointments, playing and doing something fun as a family. It's not unusual for us to be gone most of the day and they are my favorite days to spend as a family. That is why it's important for me to schedule things for work when I do work. Sometimes I find myself up really late trying to get things in order so I can do thing as a family when my husband is off.

This summer I'm going to try and incorporate the above summer schedule into my days. I'm not going to be able to follow it, but it will be a reminder of something different to do with the kids. I do suffer a little mommy guilt when I'm working and when I'm not focused on them entirely. At least I'm here for them and do my best to "work around" my time with the kids. The great thing about my life is it's flexible- and I'm around my kids 24/7. Being a WAHM mommy is all about balance and sometimes the sacrifice of sleep- but that's what caffeine is for.

So as much as I love schedules and wish my life were on a schedule- it can't be in my household when kids and work are involved. Life throws curve balls and it changes. Schedules are just a go- by for me and inspiration. Balance is what I strive for.

What about you? Do you have a set schedule that works for you? Are you able to follow it through? Comment below and let me know your schedule!
